Percy never calls his wife Betty, it’s always ‘my beloved’, because that’s who Mrs Drip is, she’s Percy’s beloved. They share their cosy cottage with Trousers, their faithful but mischievous dog.
If you’re ever in Springwick and spot Percy, you can be sure that Trousers is never very far away.
There’s a rumour in the village that Trousers speaks to Percy, no one’s ever heard him, but Mrs Drip says that it’s true.
Percy’s first two books are now available. Percy Drip and the noisy bath & Percy Drip saves the Village Fayre, along with the audio books.
Here is a little taster for you and you can hear for the first time what Percy sounds like.
The adventures of Percy Drip the Plumber are being brought to life in a series of six books aimed at children aged five to 10. Each book is a story in its own right, introducing wonderful new characters to build the tale to a happy ending.
They hark back to the days of good old-fashioned storytelling and will stretch the imagination of young minds. Each character is brought to life with full colour pictures by Alan Birch, one of the UK’s leading illustrators of children’s books.
The adventures of Percy Drip will also be available as audio books, but with a difference.
The main stories are being narrated by much-loved TV presenter Nick Owen, with Percy, Mrs Drip and all their friends being voiced by a very talented team, including radio regulars Malcolm Boyden as Percy and Jenny Wilkes as Mrs Drip, plus a host of sound effects bringing the stories to life.
